HTML Version using FP 2002

I am trying to correct errors on my web sites (x2). Neither of them have a
DocType and I am trying to choose the correct HTML version that FP 2002 uses.
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance

This is what happened using your suggestion:

"This page is not Valid XHTML 1.0 Transitional!" on a red background, so
maybe that isn't the right DOCTYPE?
 
Yes, you need to choose a DOCTYPE that's appropriate for the HTML/CSS
you're using on the page. See http://alistapart.com/stories/doctype/
