html Picture preview?

Most of the web pages i have created (.htm) that include pictures, show the
first few pictures in windows thumnail view - didn't know of this feature -
great - however, some of them dont (just show blue 'e')

i figured that maybe it's because some pics are cached and some haven't had
chance to cache yet - made sure the web page was fully loaded but still no
pic preview ?

any ideas why/not?
