HTML or text in newsgoups?

New Vista computer. When I hit the send key for a newsgroup reply in
Windows Mail a pop up window suggested I might want to used plain text
instead of HTML (apparently the default) as some readers won't read HTML. Is
this really the case? Which is advisable?

In most newsgroups, including this, plain text is preferred for
several reasons, a few being:
1. Easier to read
2. Less bandwidth, important for some particularly those paying by
the bandwidth used.

You should change the default to Plain Text in newsgroups.
