html not preserving!

i would appreciate anyone's help on this.

i'm trying to create a website with FrontPage 2002. I am
pasting my html code in the html screen. For quite a
while this was working perfectly, but now the code keeps
switching back to something like the orginal, small, "new
page" code, it will only showing my page background. It
erases every bit of the code I have put in. I try to save
it directly from the html screen and also the
basic 'normal' view screen, but that does not work
either. Like I said, I worked with it for quite a while
without it doing this, but it just started doing that
suddenly. i'm not very familiar with coding or using
frontpage, so you'll have to excuse my ignorance on this
matter.

Thanks!

A method I always use is to first paste the code I
am copying into a blank notepad file, and then copy and paste
from notepad into html view.
Doing this clears any extraneous coding from the html.

thanks for replying!

i have tried that and it still doesn't work. it will
paste but as soon as i switch views or try to save, it
reverts back to the small bit of code only showing my
background image.

Can you post a copy of the code as inserted in the page in HTML view?
