Hi Folks,
I hope everybody had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I have a
question. I have made a power point presentation I plan
to distribute on a cd with other things. I have setup a
small html menu to come up when the cd is inserted. The
problem is the only way I can get it to work is buy
creating a link to mypres.ppt, is there a way to launch
or run the ppview32 with a specific .ppt file? I have
tried ppview32 mypres.ppt, and ppview32 /mypres.ppt
neither works. I have looked for command line switches
to designate a specific file but have no luck there
either.

Thanks for your assistance.
Dave

Dave, if you're willing to do your menu as a PPT slide, this would be a
pretty easy thing to do. Would that be an option, or do you really want
to stick with the HTML menu?

Also, which version of PPT?

Question: does it matter that you launch it with PPView?

If you rename the .PPT to .PPS and launch that, then it'll launch inn PPT
itself or the viewer, whichever's installed on the end user's system (with
PPT favored if both are there). Launched that way, it'll behave pretty
much the same in either PPT or the Viewer.
