When i send a html link within a email, in this case a TIF file on the
intranet, it opens it using IE. This i think is the default. However the TIF
files are set to open using Document Imager as their default and , I want
the user to click on a TIF html link within the email and for the TIF file
to open using the Document Imager. I have 10 PC's that do this OK, the 11th
doesn't (same environment). I think this is a registry change but 2 hours of
searching and nothing.

thanx

XP (SP1)
IE 6
MS Outlook 2003
Server: SBS 2003

They are matched, in that TIF files are set to Document Imager. IE is also
set as a recommended program.

If I have say www.microsoft.com/test.tif sent to me in an email, I would
expect to open it with IE. I need to change it so that Document Imager opens
it. If I save test.tif to my temp directory on my C drive and click on it,
it opens in Document Imager. It will not do that from the email (and I want
it to <g>)

I'm pretty sure that IE won't open Tifs under any circumstances. My system
used Windows Picture and Fax viewer.
Right-click the file, select "Open With", select the program you wish to use.

i am still struggling with this one. If i receive a email in outlook 2003
with a link in it from the intranet, such as image.tif. This will open in
Document Imager in some cases(ie pcs), but not others, it opens in IE. In the
successful PC's it appears as though the tiff file is being saved to the
user's temp directory and then opened. This works. So, is there a way to make
TIF files automatically save to the temp directory and then open
