Apologies for the cross-post, but I can't find a suitable group so I picked
the most likely groups for people who might have come across this.
I've created an HTML help (compiled help, .CHM) file, and only just realised
that such files work great on local drives, but do not work on network
drives - even if I take a CHM file created by Microsoft (e.g. an Office help
file) and put it on a network drive, it doesn't work.
I can understand disabling external URL links or running of programs from
such a file, due to security concerns - but I can't understand why a simple
help system consisting of nothing more than pages linking to each other
relatively should be so completely disabled just because it's on a network -
does anyone know why? It seems a huge flaw.
