HTML email missing bodies

I've used Outlook 2000 since its release. Beginning 6
weeks ago ALL html or stationary e-mail is received
completely blank. What happened? And, how do I fix it?
 
did you install any patches or updates at about that time? it sounds like a
problem with IE's rendering engine.

No updates since February. It seems to be OK now. New messages from today
are visible. Old ones from prior to problem are also visible. The 6 to8 week
span of messages are still blank. My ISP assures me that the messages were
intact at their end (even showed me a few).
