Here is the problem. I have a website. When I go to my
HTML Editor to do some editing or for example to add a
hyperlink to a word to my text, each time I hit format
text a blank screen comes up. I can not use the HTML
Editor which is essential in creating hyperlinks within
to my webpages. What do I do to fix this problem?
I have talked to support from Gateway but they tell me it
is a tutorial problem that will cost me 1.95 per minute
and the average time is 2 hours.
Can someone help me out here???

What is the HTML editor? You don't need a special editor, notepad will do it
but of course the format is only plain text... from IE using "View" "Source"
will give you an example. It sounds like this is a problem with the software
so really it's bit impossible to help without knowing what it is.

If you are interested in web page design and want to learn more you would be
better with an editor / viewer program designed for that - I'm thinking you
have something like "Frontpage Express" used to be which frankly was
garbage, and you didn't learn much from it except it's garbage <g>.

A very good (but not free) one is Macromedia Homesite but a very very
similar free one is Firstpage 2000 which you can find here
http://www.evrsoft.com/

Both contain good help files and although they look horribly complex at
first, but if you load your existing stuff into them you should see what's
what.

If you decide to have a look at the Evrsoft one be aware that your virus
scanner might complain about an example they included which is not dangerous
but included for tutorial / example purposes.

So yes, I know that wasn't the question but unless someone sees "Gateway"
and can guess what's going on a bit more detail will help.

I use FirstPage 2000 but you cannot modify the .htm or html files on the
server if this what you are trying to do.
