Looking for opinions on HTML editior. I have forgotten most of the html I
knew, so the programs need to be fairly simple no-brainers. Thanks

"Stone's WebWriter is an award winning Danish no-nonsense HTML editor.
Easy-to-use dialogues, right-click editing, code completion and syntax
high-ligthing, so you can get started without knowing HTML.
WebWriter is for the professional as well as the beginner who wants
full control and insight. Complete libraries of HTML 4.0, CSS 2.0 and
JavaScript 1.2. Build JavaScript, Cascading Style Sheets and image
maps! Project managing, sitemap, upload to Internet and much more.
Stone's WebWriter 3 can be installed from one floppy in a moment "

Has a few minor quirks. It appears to be abandonware as the author has
not produced a new version for quite a while.

You'll need to know some CSS as well. I can recommend Topstyle Lite

http://www.bradsoft.com/topstyle/download/litedload.asp

It's a more convenient CSS editor than Webwriter's imho.

I use HTML-kit from <http://www.chami.com/html-kit/> (switched to it
when my copy of Siteaid stopped working and wouldn't reinstal).
However, you HAVE to know HTML to use it.

To get back up to speed, try the free lessons at
<http://www.mcli.dist.maricopa.edu/tut/>. You can even download a
copy to use off-line. I go back to it every so often when I want to
"brush up" on a feature I don't use much.

Do a google search for homesite version 2.5 which is a freeware pre-
release. You might have to wade thru to find the site that has it still.
