HTML Dropdown boxes in IE7

I have a web app that has two html dropdown boxes in two tables next to each
other. It appears as if they are on one line on the page. The first
dropdown does not work, but the second does. This works just fine in IE6.
It is an internal application that is not visible externally.

Has anyone experienced this? Any ideas on a workaround? I have added the
site to both intranet sites and trusted sites. There are pages that have
multiple dropdowns in different tables that work fine. It is just this one
page that uses two dropdown boxes to filter information on different tables
in a database. (javascript that does a postback on change)

Thanks,
j

IE6 has many quirks. IE7 is more standards compliant. Some web pages that
used to work in IE6 don't in IE7 because they use features that are
non-standard or handled in a non standard way by IE6. What happens when you
view the page in Firefox or Opera?

Against my better judgement, I may give that a try. I mostly blame the hack
developer who created the app, not IE7.

Thanks for the info and ideas! Do you know of any issues running either of
those on Vista?

I haven't tried either. I'd recommend trying them with XP first. I'm
guessing that both Firefox and Opera will render the pages the same or very
similar to IE7. IE 4, 5, and 6 are the quirky ones. My suggestion was to see
if the problem is with IE6 specific code on the page.
