I installed MSAS Beta1 on my Windows 2000 Terminal Server and scanned,
discovered and removed katien.backdoor. I immediately uninstalled MSAS
Beta1. Ever since then, users are unable to open HTML files from within
Outlook, Internet links in Outlook don't work, and when attempting to insert
clip art into a Word Document, the Clipart Online function doesn't launch IE.
I don't know if these problems are related to the virus, MSAS Beta 1, or a
combination of both. I do know that before scanning a second identical W2k
TS, I confirmed that these things were all working, and after installing,
scanning, removing the spyware and uninstalling MSASBeta1, they were broken
just as on the first TS. Has anyone else encountered this?
