When I try to digitize with my multifunction printer HP 5610
Windows indicates the error message to me according to hpqscnvw has cease of
to function?
I downloaded the software scan diagniostic HP which indicates to me: X
registery mismatch.
I telephoned the engineering department of HP which said to me that it was
one
error caused by Windows Vista.
How to use my digitizing software?
Thank you for your support.

I just installed an HP OfficeJet Pro L7680 AIO and had the same problem.
After numerous emails with HP, they don't have a solution but they do have a
work-around. Go to Program Files/HP/Digital Imaging/bin and send a shortcut
of hpqscnvwto your desktop. You can run this standalone. They sent me a new
CD but it's the same one that came with my printer; it runs only on Windows
XP. I run Vista and downloaded the full driver & software set from their
website.

Hallelujah! Thanks for this tip ... I was getting to the point where I was
so disappointed with Vista, I was thinking of going back to XP. Now I can
scan again ... one problem down, three to go ... thanks much ... vanilla
