HP840 prints A4 in Word but not in e-mail or internet pages

My printer prints 'normally' in a Word document (ie A4 as configured).
However, whenever I try to print an e-mail or any page 'on line' the printer
always starts halfway down the A4 size paper and starts printing (ie C5
size). This has only started happening recently and was not always the case.
