Hi,

Any printer expert could diagnose this? I have an old HP4SI that we
just un-mothballed and it seems to work fine other than it's printing
grey streaks all over the page. The print is dark and clear, but the
background is full of grey streaks. Does it need a new belt or
something? Can anyone tell me what part I need to replace?

Thanks for your help, appreciate it.

Fits thing would be to try to find the cleaning util on the HP support
site. Next would be a new toner cartridge.

looking at the cleaning utility on their site, it seems to only want to
be used on HP5 and HP6 series printers... this is an HP4... will it
sill work?

I use it on a LJII. All it does is put several sheets through the
printer printing a full black pattern first, then nothing.
