Have recently put a HP4L into service on my WinXPpro computer and
installed a new toner cartridge.

While printing, I am hearing squeaks occassionally as each page is
printed.

Is there reason for concern?

What are the most likely causes for the squeaking ?

Are replacement parts eaasily obtainable for this old machine ?

These printers sometimes squeak, unless it is severe or constant I wouldn't
worry about it. There are several possible causes.
Toner cartridge especially if not used for some time. Paper Pick up roller.
Separation pads.
Parts are readily available but in some cases are expensive. Pick up rollers
and Separation pads are available at a modest cost and not too hard to replace,
some suppliers provide video instruction on the replacement.

Thank you Tony for your reply. My HP4L is not used very much here. I
try to cut down on the amount of paper used.

I will not worry about the squeaks, as they are not frequent.

Thanks again.
