HP2300n - error 13.20.00

Got a problem with an HP 2300n.

Error code is 13.20.00. Remove tray 2 and open/close top cover. This
happens every time at switch on. Printing is not possible

This appears during the self test so can't run any of the diags from the
menu.

It's been tested with a replacement PSU board, replacement engine
controller board and a replacement tray 2 sensor.

Anything else you need to know to help diagnose this one?

13.20 PAPER JAM CHECK REAR DOOR
Media stopped in the paper path during power on or when the top door was
closed.
1. Remove all media in the paper path, and then open and close the top
cover.
2. If the message persists after all media is removed: Check if media is
jammed in the prefeed area. Replace any defective sensors or flags

Does this error message happens when you print, or when the printer is
initializing after turning ON. You can try to open rear door and check for
sensor arm on fuser if it is broken or damadged.

Thanks for that. I've had this thing stripped down from the top and the
bottom a couple of times. All sensors are operating/flags moving and not
jams evident anywhere.

It happens during the POST. It never gets to a "Ready" state.

Update for the archives.

The duplexer tray was slightly bent so the paper sensor flag dropped too
far down and through the optical sensor rather than blocking it.
