Steve

I just bought an HP2200 DN for my home office. I have a few Win XP PCs and
use a hardwired Linksys router. I connected the printer to the linksys. I
added 64MB of RAM to max it out at 72MB. I installed HP Web Jetadmin (I
guess I didn't need to though), and it informs me that the linksys has
assigned a 192.168.1.xxx address to the printer. I used that address when I
set up the printer with the wizard. A test print worked fine. I set the
printer as the default.

NOW, most times, when I atttempt to print something, after a long pause I
get an error saying that I do not have permission to use the printer. Then
the app I am printing from locks up.

Where am I going wrong here? Have I missed a step somewhere?

Thanks,
Steve

Well I am going to answer my own question here...
I do not know why using the "regular" windows new printer wizard didn't
work, but I found the "HP Install Network Printer Wizard" which worked
great! The URL was huge so I made a shorter one for the page. Find the HP
wizard at ...
