HP Vectra 500 - how to open it

My son just dropped off an old HP Vectra 500, and I can find no
obvious way to open it. It apparently has internal cards mounted
sideways, a CDRom, floppy, and Travan tape drive, and what looks
like a network connection on the rear.

The only clue to opening the case is two slides at the bottom left
and right of the front panel, and an embossed arrow on the sides.
Neither position of the slides seems to release anything, so I
would like to know which way what things should move before
applying brute force.

I have an old Vectra VL.

My case has levers on either side in the front, which are flipped outward so
they are horizontal, then the entire case- as one unit- bezel, sides, and top-
slides forward.

I usually have to put it on it's back and yank.

Mine has a rubber seal on the inside, which makes sliding the case forward a bit
difficult.

I usually have to give it a little "incentive" by using a slot screwdriver at
the back to just break the vacuum and pop it forward a little.

I am not familiar with your model, but the case may come off in a similar
fashion.
