Hi -
I bought an HP ScanJet 3670 awhile back and everything was going
fine with it. Recently, a problem suddenly appeared where scanned
photographs had lines in them that are no present on the photograph
itself. I took the scanner back and swapped it for a brand new one of
the exact same model and right out of the box, it had the same problem
- leading me to believe perhaps it has to do with the software. The
only thing swapped in the excahange was the scanner and its lid - the
cords, software discs etc are the same as what came with the original.
Could it in any way have to do with the USB 2.0 cable??? Again, my
guess is the software settings but I don't know what to change.
Here is a link to a sample scan that turned out quite poor.

Thanks in advance for help -
