If I choose a resolution other than the default, I get the following pop-up
(which I ignore). Is this recommendations true/valid?
"To increase the size and detail of a slide or negative, you should increase
the scale rather than increase the resolution."
From the discussion a few days ago, I would think it makes absolutely no
difference whether you scan 200 ppi x 1200% or 2400 ppi x 100%. The file
sizes are the same, the output quality is the same.
However, I notice that it take a lot longer to scan 2400 ppi x 100% than it
takes to scan 300 ppi x 800%. That seems to suggest that 2400 ppi is a
better scan (more info).
