HP Recovery Drive

I have a HP Pavillion dv6000 upgraded to Vista Home Premium 32-Bit version.
I am not sure when i first noticed this but when I start up the computer and
log on a message come up in the taskbar saying HP Recovery Drive (D:) and
something about it almost out of memory. I click on the message like it says
to free space but when it brings up what I remember but may not be right is
disk defraigmatter (no clue if i spelled that right) and there is no space
to clear in the folders. If anyone knows why it is doing this and how to fix
it please reply.
