Hi there friends!

I just purchased a new HP2510 wireless printer and a Linksys WRT54G Wireless
router. The direct ethernet connection setup works fine (BTW, I needed to
disable ZoneAlarm Pro in order to connect to the memory cards on the
printer). However, no matter what I did and what kind of encryption I tried,
I was unable to finish printer installation with my Win2000 system. The HP
support just sucks: first their support did not even know the memeory_cards
shoul appear as a network disk drive, and I was promissed call back from
their "network" people within a 48 hours. Needless to say, they called after
about 5 days, when I was not home.

So, in short, how did you guys do it?

Regards,

Dan C.

Problem solved.

My 2.4GHz Panasonic cordless phone was interfering with the 2.4GHZ wireless
access point. Once the phone was shut down the HP install was able to find
the access point.

This is a know problem, and most problematic with Panasonic 2.4Ghz
equipment. We just replaced our entire phone system here with a 5.8Ghz
system, and we've never looked back. We have 3 wireless APs here (2
802.11g, 1 802.11b), and everything works perfectly, as expected, now that
the phone is out of the loop.
