Need help badly...paper is due. I have a HP psc 750xi and it will print from
my laptop but it won't copy. It will try to warm up and then it says
"Scanner failure, turn power off then on again". And just keeps doing the
same thing over and over. It will print its own test page and will print
from my laptop. Please someone help me. I have somethings I must copy and
would like someday to scan items also. I dont have the operation discs
readily available at this site. Help a soldier out please.

Sorry to say there is probably no economical fix for this. The problem may be a
scanner unit failure. The scanner unit is available for US$240 from HP, you
might get it cheaper from other sources. The parts for the scanner are not
easily available. It is also possible that the main circuit board has failed in
the printer, this is not readily available. Replacing the scanner unit may fix
the problem but is not guaranteed to do so.
A service centre may be able to diagnose this more but that will cost you.
