Purchased new disc from HP,installed. Need information
Disc is Dell xp compatiable, not functioning properly and
still have SCAnner Failure. What should I do?

Guess what? I have a HP PSC 750. Its not a scanner. Its a multifunction
device - *P*rinter/*S*canner/*C*opier.
Its only interface is USB. The HP installation software CD that comes with
the unit works fine for 98/98SE/ME/2K. The driver installation update CD
for XP is free from HP, they'll mail it to your house. I had no problems
with the HP PSC 750 working in 98SE or XP for any of the functions. The
only thing unusual about installation is you have to install the software
first, leave the install CD in place, turn off the computer, then
connnect/powerup the HP PSC 750, then turn on your computer (Windows 98).
Just connect the HP PSC 750 after intial software installation (XP). In
either case, more software will install automatically afterwards. This part
loads up the scanner portion.

Contact HP for help with more clarity when writing or speaking of your
problem. Points and methods of contact are all over the paperwork that came
with the HP PSC 750. So, am amazed at your question.
