can any on tell me what am i doing wrong i use have
windows 98 and now i have pro windows 2000 my all in one
does print and cpoy but i can not get it to scan i
rechecked to make sure is getting contacted to pc all
wires are pluged and intact. i get the message "specified
module could not be found" can you tell me whats wrong?

I'm having a similar problem. I have an old HP OfficeJet R80xi
(similar to the newer all-in-ones), and a ThinkPad A31p running
Windows 2000 with all the recommended updates from MS. I've done
everything I'm supposed to do, checked and rechecked:

I can add a new printer (ECP printer port, LPT1), and print documents.
But the "HP All-in-One 2000 Scanning" software will not function; I
can't scan anything. I get the same message in a pop-up dialog:
"specified module could not be found". And it's not a messed up
environment path variable causing "framedyn.dll" not to be found. It's
in the right place, and it's in my path. After many hours, I'm
stumped, and ready to give up.
