HP printers keep spooling junk

We are printing to IP's on internet addresses. Every now
and then the printer(s) will keep spitting out 100's of
pages and turning it off only fixes for a little bit.
These are XP/2000 boxes printing from docs, Internet or
Citrix docs. How can this be stopped?
 
Make sure that you have the latest Security Patches
loaded. There is one patch that purges the spooler. You
can also on occasion do it manually by simply deleting the
spool and shadow files.
