Hello, I have a HP PSC 2210xi printer connected via USB on Vista 32 bit
version. HP doesn't have driver available for Vista. Still I downloaded
the driver for XP version and tried to install it. I'm surprised the Vista
was able to recognize it and install the driver fine. When I looked at the
list of printers, my printer showed. But here's the thing, when I try to
print, nothing is happening.
I checked to make sure the USB cable is connected, switched to other USB
port, turned the printer on/off and still nothing? So it's kind of weird
that Vista is showing my printer but not connecting at all.
I noticed that the Vista has assigned my printer to a "Virtual USB port"?
I'm not sure what it means but now I'm thinking of switching the cable
connection to a printer port instead of USB. Wish me luck.
