HP Photosmart P1100/1000 install problems

HAve two Photosmart printer P10000 and P1100 and used to hve them
installed on my XP machine with no problems. Don't know has happened
but thye no longer worked and I was getting the following messages

I receive an "RTL" error message when I boot up my machine (XP). it says
"unable to start drive for hphpmo9.exe" and then a message that says
HPHA3MON has encountered a problem and needs to close. suspect it has
something to do with one of my HP printers , maybe a Photosmart 1000 or
1100. Does anyone have any clues.

Have reinstalled the Software from HP's site (V3.5) and the machines no
work when they want too but still get the above message. when I print
to one it will not pringt until I restart my machine and while the boot
process is completeing the page will print.?? Any Clues?? Thanks Stu

So the continuing saga on my dilema. Been trying to solve this problem
and came up with the following information.
1. while I said my printer was working I didn't check that if I print
something to either photosmart printer it will remain in the print que
and will not print until the next time I reboot my machine after
receiving the above error messages. After rebooting the print job will
start automatically.
2. I have tried many things including uninstalling programs like zone
alarm, Spyware blaster, Spyware guard, Grissoft antivirus v6, and even a
recent installed program from my handspring visor, to eliminate if it
was caused by new programs I added. Nothingsolved the program but on
one or two reboots the printers worked fine but I was never able to
repeat the working printers the next reboot.
3. Even went to "reordering" the items in my startup file to see if
something there was causing the problem. no luck but I did find if I
unchecked the "hphmon03" startup program the printers would work fine
but the card reader portion of the printer were disabled, and would not
show up in the task bar. Even disabled a lot of items in the start up
file that didn't need to actually run to see if that helped ( it didn't)
Bottom line is I guess I will have to live with using the two printers
without the card reader portion unless someone can come up with some
more suggestions to try. Thanks Stu
