It's been a while since I have posted a question. Apparently, my google-fu is failing me right now, as I am unable to locate a solution.

I bought a HP Photosmart 6520. I am not certain if anyone is familiar with this model or if this is a common feature among these new HP printers. However, to get to the point...

On the display panel, there are, for lack of a better description, apps above the standard photo/copy/scan options. This is a touch screen panel that operates the unit. These apps include things like "buy more stuff for your printer", "Disney"( i don't know what that is for), "free samples."

I would like to turn these off and I cannot find an option or if it is even possible. Anyone like to take a go at how to do it?

I can find loads of links on adding more apps, but none on turning them off. Maybe a quick e-mail to HP might help

I fear that it will be one of those "you can't do that" type of scenarios. Like removing software that is pre installed on your smart phone. Some things, you just can't change.
