I bought my pc 1 year ago. To this day my burner (rw)
has not worked. hp hasnt been able to correct my
problem. i have spent hours with them. i have totaly
recovered my pc. lately i removed my software record now
and installed roxio and i still have the same problem. i
go through all the steps to burn and i get as far as
burning a i get a pop up that tells me to insert disc.
and the disc is already in the drive. i have tried
different disc's. so that isnt the problem. yesterday i
look up my rw in my pc and click on properties. i found
out that i have no location for my hl-dt-st-cdrw gce-
84000b i looked up my cdrom and it had a location. is
this the problem?? and if so how do i correct it. thanks

Hello

Well have you considered that maybe you have a bad cd-rw drive
have you tried replacing the drive since you have done everything
else.
