Hi, i just installed our HP P1100 from one putr to another. for some
reason i could not get the old version of the install/drivers to work.
i d/l the new installation file and this one installs--and the printer
works.
BUT i am stuck with a "Disk" icon and the HP PS series Icon in the
notification area of the sys tray. they were never there one the
other putr.
How can i remove this icons so they NEVER come up when i boot?
my last install on this putr i had a "Safely Remove Hardware"
icon/pop-up which i could not get removed either--but so far this
install does not have it.
i don't use the "Disk" in the printer. nor do i care about the other
icon.
there are 2 obvious HP processes running--hphmon03.exe and
hphipm09.exe. the 09 program is what i think is associated with the
disk.
hpztsb04 and hphmon03 are listed in the startup of msconfig.
the last time i "Ended Processes" and/or removed a program from the
Startup, i screwed stuff up bad enuf i had to do a Repair---so i thot
i better ask you experts...
