My HP OfficeJet R40 (five years old) has developed a paper feed problem.
It simply will not pick up any kind of paper--HP, used generic, ink jet
or laser jet papers.
I have been told by a repair specialist that the rollers are now too
slick. I have tried roughing them up with an emery board but this did
not work.
I cannot find anything from HP or the Web to address this problem. Since
everything else works well--it's a great copier and printer--I am
reluctant to resign it to the dust bin. Plus, I just bought a new pricey
HP black cartridge
Any help would be appreciated.
