HP officejet 9120 picking up several sheets of paper at once.

Subject says it all.
This only happens from the top tray (Tray 1) and doesn't happen all the time.
But it doesn't happen most of the time.

I have fanned the paper, tried different paper, adjusted the paper guides to no avail.


Any ideas?

I have fanned the paper, tried different paper, adjusted the paper guides to no avail.

It's probably that the roller that prevents multiple pages from
feeding is dirty, worn, or dried out. Consult the manual. You might be
able to clean it yourself or it might need service.
