I wonder if there is anyone else "out here" who still uses
this printer.

I've even had it repaired a couple of times, and it still
works perfectly - except for custom labels in WordPerfect
10 or 11. Even though the parameters are redefined, the
error message states:

PrintServer
The document page size is set to a custom form that may not
be supported by this printer driver.
If you incur problems, set your document size to printer
defined sizes.

These labels are 6 in a strip and travel down the centre of
the feeder into the printer. Of course I never had this
problem until I hit OS W2K. I still run it in Win95B with
no difficulty, but I'd like to be able to print from this
OS as well.

Thanks for your collective wisdom.

I get the same error message using WP 12 although I am not printing an
page size and have reset the doc size to printer defined a dozen times.
I did not get this problem using WP 10 or 11, using the same printer
(NEC SuperScript870, HP 4550 Color Printer). I use WP 12 at home an
print to a Laserjet Series IV and never have the problem. I don'
think it is the Novell Network we use at Loyola College here becaus
only one of the two printers uses the network, the other is directl
attached to my parallel port. I searched Google with a phrase fro
this error message & found you. There is another user in a forum a
"wpuniverse.com" with the same problem. I may try reinstalling W

Just found a third reply at wpuniverse.com. This suposedly worked fo
one of the persons with this problem. I haven't tried it myself yet
but it seems strange to add a "custom form" for 8 1/2 x 11 portrait!
Here is what may be a solution:

"Hi Stephanie,

I'm repeating here a solution that I've seen for this problem that
haven't tried, so I'm not sure all steps are the same for all printers
The idea is to add the form you need to the printer properties, whic
should stop the printserver message. The way to add a form may b
different for different printers and versions of Windows.

Open the Printers dialog.

Do File, Server Properties, Create new form.

Set up your form and add it there.

Delete any custom form you created from the WP Page Setup dialog, the
select "Printer page types" in the Page Definition box and click th
"Restore" button. This should add the form you added to the printer t
the list in Page Setup.
