In my office I am "working" with this printer, half the time it will
not feed the paper through...it will run and run and I hear it trying
to pick the paper up...but nothing happens. Sometimes I actually have
the time to play with it, and pull the paper tray out, put more paper
in, "fluff" the paper up or just flip thru it and then pop the tray
back in, sometimes if I am lucky enough this fixes the problem. However
today, after about a dozen attempts at pulling out the tray and putting
it back in, nothing happens still....
I am at my wits end, because I know just as soon as I put an order of
service ticket in on this thing, that when the tech guy comes out, its
gonna be working fine! Like I said, it only does this at certain times.
Any suggestions?

Firstly make sure that the paper guides in the btray are correctly set, they
can sometimes move and if the rear guide is not set correctly you will get
paper feed issues the guides should hold the paper snugly.
Secondly you may need a new paper pick up roller and separation pad. Both can
be replaced without any special tools and instructions for doing that are in
the user manual. This is normally only required after many thousands of pages
have been printed.
