I am running Windows XP Pro, my PC is a Dell Dimension.
As soon as I upgraded from Windows ME to XP pro, my HP
Laser Jet 4L stopped responding. This is what I did,
1.Checked my BIOS to "ECP", 2. Deleted the printer and
drivers, 3. On port LPT 1 changed settings to
disabled "Enable bidirectional support" 4. click "use any
interupt assigned to the port"
IT WORKED GOOD...UNTIL I HAD TO RE-BOOT OR TURN OFF THE
MACHINE. When the machine would come back from a re-boot.
I had to do the whole process.
IS THERE A WAY NOT TO GO THROUGHT THE WHOLE PROCESS IF I
HAVE TO RE-BOOT?
Thanks for any suggestions.
