I purchased the HP Pavilion DV2000 yesturday and spent quite a bit of time
today trying to get windows live messenger to work. the program tries to log
in then I get an error message that the connection could not be made. I
choose the option to diagnose and repair and it comes back with a port
problem somewhere between the wireless router/home network and the internet.
The windows help options tells me to uncheck the "check for server
certificate revocation" option under the security section (advanced tab) of
the internet tools setting. The option supposedly takes effect once you
restard IE but it never does. Everytime I restart and go back in the
settings remain the same.
I'm running Vista which came with the computer...
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
