I have the exact same problem. I have been working through windows
support and we have performend the following:
* rename all mplvpx, v*6 and v*7 files to .old - still get the error
message
* uninstall / install audio and vidoe codecs - did not fix this
* restore system to earliest save - nope
* currently going through 3rd party software uninstall to try and
find.
This is very frustrating. After the error message it gives the report
to windows message and closes media player.
Has anyone figured this out. Very appreciative for any help.
By the way, I have downloaded various .dll files that have popped up in
the error messages. None have helped so far. Also, I had not tried
earlier, but I do get the message when I attempt to open ArcSoft
Showbiz?????
