With windows 98 I was able to print both sides of the
sheet. Since upgrading to windows XP, I find that I no
longer have this facility.
Is there any way around this as it is costly on paper.

Duplex printing with the Windows XP driver involves manual intervention in
the printing process. Select "Manual Duplex" in the driver settings. See
help system for details or let us know.

Yes purchase FinePrint from www.fineprint.com. Just because it worked under
98 is irrelevant. You are using an ancient printer, one that HP ceased to
support about five years ago. The native driver allows the unit to print,
but nothing more. You will need to purchase the third party application
mentioned above in order to restore the duplexing functionality.
Alternatively, you could purchase another printer.
