I've printed on plenty of special papers before, but it seems no
matter what I do, my hp 960cse, after printing the first 8 cards
correctly on avery 28877 paper, prints the last row on the row above,
therefore screwing up 4 cards.

help?

I've got a Deskjet 960 and it has problems at times with paper other than
HP. I believe some of the HP stuff is thinner and has some "tooth" on the
backside for the printer's rollers to move the paper through it. I bought a
selection package of paper and about half of the labels wouldn't feed
correctly through it and cut off half the pages.
It is annoying as it is the default printer on my main computer, but I have
other printers that will handle the thicker stuff but I need to copy and run
down the hall to do it. The Canon i960 seems to take most anything so far
that the HP won't. May have something to do with the different feed
systems. Canon goes back to front; the HP needs to go front and make a
sharp bend and come back out the front.

this is what avery suggested, what do you think?

Thank you for contacting Avery Technical Support. We received your request
for support. I understand the paper is gettingstuck in your printer.
This would indicate a feed issue. I would recommend changing the setting
for paper stock thickness for the printer. If you have already done this,
I suggest contacting the printer manufacturer for further advice.
