hp deskjet 932c

i did a clean install of winxp from winme. My printer worked fine untill I
did this. Now the printer just sits there. I have chatted with hp techs and
have done everything they said. I tried a new parallel cable even another
printer which didn't work either. I've did new installs of the printer and
drivers, tried it manually an ddirectlyfrom hp. Nothing works. I feel it has
something to do with winxp with sp2 conflict. Can anybody help?
 
check the BIOS setting of the system parallel port

I want to thank both of you Alan and Byte. I did both of your suggestions and
I can now print. It's funny after 3 hrs of chatting with hp techies I got
nothing. Where as with one post and two replies I am back in business again.
Thank-you again! It was pretty discouraging after all that time of not being
able to figure out what was wrong! Thanks again!!!! klh
