HP Deskjet 1000C

As this printer is not supported by HP in Windows 2000, I
installed Window's driver. Now it will not print the
entire page, it will print some and then give me a error.
Anyone have a suggestion? I have tried deleting and
reloading the driver and used windows update to no avail.

I couldn't find their products named Deskjet 1000C, but they have 1000cse and 1000 cxi on their support site.
Did you try their installation instruction for windows 2000?
