The HP Deskjet 1000 printer "locks-up" at different times
during the printing process --- it started out when
printing a color document (letterhead) in multiples, now
it is happening with far greater frequency and in all
printing qualities (draft, normal, color, etc).
There are usually no error messages --- a few times a
message saying the document has errors comes up --- and I
can not determine what the problem is using any of the
system diagnostics.
The system is single source -- computer, printer, etc.. no
network.
How do I fix this --- Win2000 will not allow the
installation of the original driver as it contains
the "appropriate" driver (according to MS and HP).
Help -- we need the printer....
Thanks JF
