I have a HP DesignJet 650c (C2859B) connected via network to a number
of windows XP computers.

Every time I try and print anything that has text with the quality
settings set to Best (Enhanced) the text is printed as blocks. If I
print the something in a lower quality like normal (Final) it prints
the text as it should. This happens to all the computers in my office.
I have updated/reinstalled the drivers with no luck.

Thanks,
Winter

There may be someone here that is skilled in Design Jet issues but if so I have
yet to see a post from them.
You might have a better chance of an answer if you post your question in

You need to register first but there is no charge and there are several
participants there that are extremely competent in that category.

Not skilled, but I've had the misfortune of dealing with this big, slow
inkjet.

There's an option in the driver to "Use Host Memory" or something to
that effect. That's needed if you are printing larger bitmaps, and may
help with this problem.

Sorry Warren
I didn't know you had experience with these printers.

Sorry for the late replay and thinks for the help, the problem ended
up being that the printer was running out of memory and so was not
rendering the text or something like that. I had to change the default
printer setting on the computers to process the print job on the
computer before sending it to the printer.
