Using the configurator at www.crucial.com, it comes up with nothing.
You probably have to get it through HP, if it's still available. You can
try starting from the HP site.

We used to have a 650 at work. There were both RAM modules and a ROM
module for adding stuff like PostScript.

The designJet 600C plotters have two memory expansion slots. Each can hold
either a 4MB or an 8MB SIMM. Memory can be expanded by 4, 8, 12 or 16 MB.
The HP part numbers are
C2065A 4MB, 80nS, 36-bit SIMM memory module
C2066A 8MB, 80nS, 36-bit SIMM memory module
The same modules are used in the LaserJet IIISi, 4/4M, 4Si/MX printers.

See
http://www.partsurfer.hp.com/cgi-bi...sel=Memory+(Product)&catsel=Other+Accessories
for this information.

Also see
http://www.compatible-parts.com/product_info.php?cPath=&products_id=688
for one source of these SIMMs. You may find a cheaper source.
I do not know whether you can use generic SIMM's or not.

thanks for Your answer

I've got 8MB in each of these two exansion slots, so pehaps this is max what
can be (total 16Mb plus 4MB internal = 20MB). But what are these two empty
expansion slots, that are for 80-pin simms? What is the difference between
RAM-SIMM and ROM-SIMM. Will it speed my ploter if I fill these two empty
ROM-SIMM slots, and what is the specyfication for these slots. Now is
tradegy - a 3MB print file *.prn sent to ploter via lpt by dos "copy"
command is being prepared to plot for about 35 minutes. Via jet-direct is
average the same, so this is a problem with memory, not with a
communication.

Sorry, havent got any piece of user manual :-(

Each of the ROM expansion slots will hold a single ROM enhancement SIMM. The
ROM SIMMS could include firmware
revision upgrades or language enhancements but not memory unfortunately.

E-mail me at
(e-mail address removed)
if you would like the 650c service manual, it is almost the same as the 600c.
