HP BIOS Limit

Going to put a larger hard drive into on old HP Vectra with it's proprietary
BIOS limit of 33.8GB. Their website says no updates to BIOS.

Looking on Seagate's website addresses this saying a third party hard drive
preparation software may be needed to get around the limit.

Will someone recommend one that would be simple to work with for somebody
who considers himself a tinkerer moree than a proficient tech.

Even easier is to get a Promise PCI IDE controller and use that. Just
set the onboard ones to None/Off.
