Recently purchased a Hewlet Packard PSC 1350 All-In-One
printer,scanner,copier. I'm running Windows 2000 Pro SP-4
on a HP Pavilion PC. After installing all of the software,
it works fine until my pc goes into "standby", the I lose
the "Imaging" portion of the software, my printer
connected to a USB port will show "ready", but nothing
will print. Documents show printing but nothing happens. I
cannot cancel all documents either. Two cases with HP
support and they still can't figure it out. (512 meg ram,
40G drive, 1.2G Celeron, not on a network), plenty of PC
for the job. USB test software shows all is well. The only
way to fix the problem is to "uninstall" all of the
software, the re-install it. (till I leave the pc and it
goes into standby again)

Go into Device Manager, look at the entries for the USB Root hubs. Ensure
that the power management option isn't set to turn them off to save power.
If it is, uncheck that option and see if improves the situation.
