Just last night I decided to play the single player of Call of Duty.
I had this computer for 3 months.
Before this I played the Multiplayer online of COD for 2 years.
So last night playing the SinglePlayer my computer shut down.
It was a little warm in the room. 75 to 80.
I rebooted came all back up fine.
It will work fine doing everything else. When playing the COD it
would crash again. I took the side panel off and turned on our
airconditioner. I worked the rest of the night. 2 hours or more.
So today I chatted with HP and here is the last few sentences.
I know on there website it says you can add a PCI fan in.

Vicki P: I just asked my supervisor regarding this issue.
Vicki P: This is a compatibility issue.
Vicki P: the video card on the computer does not support the game Call
of duty.
Vicki P: But when the game tries to run on the computer the processor
overheats and this is causing the system to shut down.
Fatbob: I played it for 2 hours or so after I had the side panel off.
And I played it before for a long time. (MULTIPLAYER MODE)
Vicki P: To resolve the issue you need to install a video card.

What do you all think?

That's the biggest problem with small cases, they are hard to keep
cool. If there is another spot for a fan, install one.

BS....the fans are dirty very poor case ventelation, graphic settings in
multiplayer are different than in single player mode, or possibly a video
driver issue. Are you using integrated video? If so My question to HP would
have been "what's wrong with your video chip?" And promptly ask for a return
RMA. COD has been playing on a 7500 AIW card since its beginning on my
machine. That card is ancient compared to something that is only 3 months
old. My brother plays the same game on a PIII with Integrated Intel video.
Ask them for a list of all non-compatible games. Ask them to buy you a video
card.
