HP 970

I have my HP 970 connected to the USB port. With no
printer connected to the computer WIN XP pro finds many
printers. When I connect the HP 970 XP finds the printer
and installs the driver for it. When I restart the
computer XP finds many printers but not the 970. This
happens when ever I start the computer. The 970 works
fine. I just can not stop XP from wanting to install more
printers.

Do a total uninstall and reinstall:

After the reboot do NOT connect the printer to the PC until the software
tells you to do so.
